I’m sure the usa will pull through, but it’s going to be tough getting there, and there’s going to be a lot of poverty and misery along the way.

Perhaps the American people will stop voting in these appalling waxworks, for the wrong reasons.
The criteria should be, are you good at running a country, who you shag, whether you pray or not, what you believe, is irrelevant.

I ponder this question a lot lately. We assume democracy and Universal Suffrage is the best way to govern, based solely on the fruits of 50 to 60 years economic development. The fact is, it might just be a brief flowering, that is in the end bound to fail.
Giving millions of not very bright people the right to choose governments might be a fatally flawed idea, which starts the long decline into governments that reflect that cognitive deficit.
Universal rights equals no rights. Paradox indeed.

The problem w the current government is it fails to protect the rights of the SMALLEST & MOST IMPORTANT minority – the individual. Everything is this group, that group, & when a person talks “Freedom” & “Rights”.. Freedom from whom?
