Trust me – go to a farm or feed store & buy one for a few dollars.

Take a plastic bucket with a cover. For example, one that held snow melter or that held a frozen drink mix. Hope you understand what I’m talking about! Anyway, cut or drill holes on the side just above the bottom. Make the holes as big as you need to allow the feed to come thru-kind of like a bird feeder. Learned this technique from people who raise pheasants and quail.
