Best answer? Talk to your vet and have him or her decide a specific diet for your cats’ needs. One of the best diets out there is Science Diet. Dry food is almost always the best way to go.
I have 2 kittens, both ages 4 1/2 months. Besides working at veterinarian’s office, I feel the best foods are: Science Diet, Eukanuba and Nutra. People will argue among these 3 which are better, but those are the top 3 in my opinion. Hope this helps. Ps– Don’t get your cats started on wet/canned food. Use only as a TREAT.
We use Purina Kitten Chow for our kitten. When we got her, I do believe that the pet store had been feeding that to her. My boyfriend’s mother bought some other brand for her, but when we fed some to her she ended up getting sick. So we’ve stuck with the Purina. For the soft food, we use 9 Lives. We try not to give it to her too often, because it’s more like a treat than a food. But even giving it to her occasionally, she still thinks we’re giving her some more every single time we open the fridge.
I guess all cats are different. Talk to your vet and see what they recommend for the kittens.
Dry food is best for all cats. It keeps their teeth clean. Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet are all high quality foods unless your cats have medical conditions. I work for a vet and those 3 foods are what we recommend.
