I am an airline crew member and it is very difficult to eat healthy while on trips considering all that is available at the airports are McDonald’s, Burger King’s, etc and there are very limited cooking facilities for us. What can I do to ensure that I am getting all of the nutrients that my body needs when I have to eat fast food and airline snacks as my regular diet due to the fact that I am hardly ever home and can’t really bring anything and preserve it?
No, it’s not difficult to eat healthy when on trips. It just costs a little more. I never left home without a grapefruit, apple, dried apricots, and fresh unsalted sunflower & pumpkin seeds in my tote. Eat selectively on board , take vitamins, drink extra water in flight. Don’t you ever lay over ?
35 years working with Pan Am World Airways Inc. but back then, we had fantastic meals on board & for the crew.
