I am not sure what you mean by machine, but if you have a pressure canner and a boiling water canner you can preserve many different types of food. Also, you can get a food saver thingy.. they have these bags, and suck all the air out, I guess it would be a vacuum sealer. I can many different types of food and it has worked very well for us. I don’t currently have a vacuum sealer but I think it would be a good option for grains and dried beans.
