Okay, so I’m doing an experiment on which type of foods mold the fastest. for my experiment i used a cup of milk, a banana, a slice of bread, and a slice of cheese.
i put all of the foods in a plastic bag last friday ( March 21,08) and put them in a dark room temperature cabinet.
For some reason my foods haven’t rotten yet, they all look prfectly fine. And the expirement was supposed to take 4-5 days, and its almost a week now. could it be because i put the foods in the plastic bag (and milk in a cup with the top ceram wrapped) and this probably preserved the food? plz help me!!!!
they’re protected by the plastic bag which keeps moisture and other mold producing elements out.

yeah they need to be left out in the open so take off the plastic wrap

you probably should have just let them sit out in the open,
instead of putting them in plastic bags.

here is an idea try again without the plastic and show both results. it will add more to your project. Also keep the environment moist and warm perfect for bacteria growth
