Its night time. All of the shops are closed. you need to press select and set the wait time to the number of hours till morning. Then the shops and buildings will be open. Just work with the weapons you have. you will pick up new ones.

The stores are probably closed. If you’re stuck you’re going to have to kill yourself or load from a previous save. you can buy new weapons from the lady who provides the wasteland survival quest. Just be careful when you explore and if you have too, lower the difficulty down so you can actually kill the enemies. If you want to temporarily boost your explosives skill, you can take drugs i believe the mentats work and then disarm the bomb and get the quest done early other wise gather xp from speech and killing.

just wait until8:00 in the morning then all the buildings will be opened. megaton is just a place to find out where your dad went. you just have to work with the weapons you get uuntilyou find some more in the wastelands.
