try a new food… one that helps prevent hairballs, but most of all make sure he is drinking. if this doesn’t help you need to get him to the vet

I give mine the dry chopped up catnip in small piles (about the size of a half dollar) they tend to eat it and the fiber helps keep the hairballs down.

Is he actually throwing up hairballs? If not (if it’s just food he’s vomiting) then that’s really not good. He has bigger problems than hairballs. Get him to the vet ASAP.

give him grass. when our tabby and calico be throwing up like that , yank grass from the yard and they love to eat it . it has some kind of medicine juice for them and it helps them to throw up .our cats throw up grass mixed with cat hair . some times alot . that works for ours . our are inside cats only too .

i also have a cat that throws up after eating sometimes, but she is an older cat(about 10 yrs old). i found that when i changed her dry food to an indoor cat food (cat chow or meow mix makes one) she has almost stopped throwing up completely. your cat may have a sensitive stomache. if this doesn’t help, i would suggest talking to your vet.

I had that problem with a cat of mine. I took her to the vet and she had a disease. The disease is contagious to the other cats in the home.
You may want to take your cat to the vet for blood work to be on the safe side.

I would suggest taking your cat to the vet first off. However, you might want to consider switching food to a sensitive stomach formula. It’s really helped my friends cat, who is an older domestic shorthair. Most major brands have it.And for some reason, dry food seems to be easier for her to keep down.

I have found that if you put Vasaline on his back paws, when he licks the Vasaline it helps him pass fur balls.

My 4 cats always had a problem with throwing up right after they ate, no matter what kind of dry food I gave. I called my vet and he said to put the dry food on a plate instead of a bowl. The cat may be eating too fast and not properly digesting its food. By putting it on a plate, the cat is forced to eat only one pellet at a time, thus slowing down his/her eating. It worked for my cats. I hope it works for yours. =-)
