I was curious out of all the pedigree cats in the world which breed would be by all standards the best hunter in the world, I seen a documentary about dogs which said that if humans were to dissapear most pure breeds could not survive on there own but with cats i am sure nearly all could hunt for themselfs but i was wondering which breed would be the very best. A Pedigree that retains masterful hunting and survival skills.
Anyone know or would like to hazard a guess?
Probably one of the shorthair breeds would be better. The more active ones like Bengals or Ocicats would be more likely to hunt and kill that mouse, bird, etc. then some of the other ones.
However, a Cornish Rex breeder told us about her cats killing mice all the time in an old house they moved into. And these cats were 100% indoors and many generations from the original rex!

I would say bengal or siamese, they seem to be very quick and athletic, savannah cats would also be survivors.
