    There has been talk of an economic collapse. If that happens, every bit of money you have in the bank becomes worthless and if you don’t know how to raise/grow/hunt for your own food, you die. Simple as that. No government/economy means no law enforcement. So that means that any old guy can bust into your house and take your food/clothing. If you don’t have weapons to defend yourself, you’re screwed. That’s why your family member is doing that. Although I do think a soviet style collapse of our economy and government is entirely possible, I don’t think it’s likely. But some would disagree. But if it does come to pass, you’ll be begging your family member for food so don’t treat him like an A hole.
