What is the best way to cook baby food to save the most nutrients?

I have sliced up, yellow squash, zuchinni, butternut squash, sweet potatoes and carrots and banana and apple. Now what lol? How do I add chicken or other meats in, just cook shred and then add to finished ingredients? I want to preserve as many nutrients as possible. i have heard boil till almost soft then bake. bake with olive oil and salt and pepper. I do not know any recipes or how long to bake for and at what temp? How do you store it and how long is it good for? can i freeze it in my glass babyfood jars or the plastic ones that gerber makes? Any info would be very helpful. thanks

How to send baked goods to my soldier?

I just made some delicious banana bread and i know my hubby would love a loaf, but he is in Iraq. Is there a way i can send it without it spoiling??? I would also like to send cookies and stuff too. If i bought one of those vacuum food sealers would it preserve them more? I think it takes 1-2 weeks for a box to get there. Any ideas???

Science fair question!!???

Okay, so I’m doing an experiment on which type of foods mold the fastest. for my experiment i used a cup of milk, a banana, a slice of bread, and a slice of cheese.
i put all of the foods in a plastic bag last friday ( March 21,08) and put them in a dark room temperature cabinet.

For some reason my foods haven’t rotten yet, they all look prfectly fine. And the expirement was supposed to take 4-5 days, and its almost a week now. could it be because i put the foods in the plastic bag (and milk in a cup with the top ceram wrapped) and this probably preserved the food? plz help me!!!!
