Is Purina One Large Breed Puppy Food ok?

I have a French Mastiff puppy and I am currently feeding him Science Diet, Large Breed Puppy food but I was thinking about switching to Purina. There are so many things out there about what not to feed and what to feed in terms of ingriedients and I thought the ingredients in Purina seemed ok. I was wanting to switch mainly because of cost but I don’t want to feed him a food that isn;t good so I am ok keeping him on Science Diet or going to another alternative if there are better choices out there.

Attention LARGE BREED DOG BREEDERS (food question)?

I am getting a Great Dane puppy and an American Bulldog pup later this year. I know to feed a food with multiple proteins (meat/poultry/fish/eggs) and no straight lamb/rice diets, a moderate protein and fat level and of course moderate calories. I will only feed my dogs a food that is naturally preserved and human grade.

I have heard that I need to give them NuVet Plus (canine) tablets for the rest of their life, is this true? If so, where do I get them?

So basically, what brands of dog food is going to be the best for my babies? I, as everyone else in the economy these days, am on a budget. I feed my Pointer (53 pounds) Merrick dog food and it’s fantastic for him! He is turning 4 years in April, is there a food for all life stages that would be appropriate for all 3 dogs? I have also heard that Drs. Foster and Smith’s dog and cat food are very good foods, is this true? (I have used their website for all my medications, bowls, beds, collars, Heat Guard etc, and LOVE them!) Thank you for your help!

Can you feed a dove a different breed of bird food?

I work in a preschool and we have a dove as a new pet in our classroom. Do you need to feed it dove food or will other breeds of bird food work just as well (i.e. – finch, cockatiel, etc.). There are other breeds of birds in different classrooms, but I just wanted to make sure that this was safe to do for the health of the bird…I know dogs, but am a newbie with our feathered friends! THANK YOU!!
