Give me some suggestions not any biblical sh*t…would we build perfect caves…would we use old tires to build homes with…..what???
People I need caves, someplace where I can survive a nuclear holocaust, I had a dream the other day that it is going to happen. Please tell me where are the good caves without bears.
Hi, I’m tired of the modern materialistic world and would like to venture into the wild. I will be living in a tent and off of whatever I can pack in my hiking framed backpack. I’d like to be far away from civilization and near a water source, caves, and plenty of trees/plants. I am an avid outdoors man and do possess survival skills. I plan on living the rest of my life in nature. I live in Southern California and would like to know the following:
Where is the closest large forest to me where I could possibly do this?
Is there anything special I should know about this place?
I have about $500 to spend, what should I get to prepare myself?
Please include any other comments that may help me in my new beginning.
Yes, I have seen and read the book and movie Into the Wild. There’s not much going for me in life right now. I’ve been laid off, divorced, and robbed in the last year. I am certain of my choice and would like to continue the remainder of my life where I love: The Outdoors. Please contribute to my question or otherwise not contribute with your negative opinions.
I am writing a book on the Tertiary and Quarternary. I believe that there was an asteroid impact that produced the KT Boundary, and I am researching the Quarternary to see if something similar produced these fossil beds. The geologic/paleontological evidence has convinced me something suddenly buried these mammals all over the world in surficial deposits like: caves, gravel, sand, silt beds, bogs, and asphalt seeps. At this same time the weather also suddenly changed that froze mammoths all over Alaska and Siberia. There were also volcanic eruptions at this time. Have any ideas? If you do, please give me your e-mail address so we can discuss this further.
Right, that is why I am asking the question. Something did happen, but there is no evidence of a trigger for the event that buried tons of mammoths in islands of bones. So what caused it? And these skeletons are not alone, there are Quarternary bones all over the earth in gravel, proving sudden burial. Now forget your uniformatarian perconceived bias and think. This is how new discoveries are made. No one believed that an asteroid caused the KT boundary at one time – till the evidence overwhelmed them.
