What do you think of this?

So for the past three days, I have been having dreams where I am in the same scenario, but different circumstances. To be clear, I am facing the end of civilization, and in each dream I am in a different location, missing a different item. In the first dream, I was in a strip mall trying to find wheat. In the second, I was driving around, trying to find ammo. Last night, I was in my house, trying to find medical supplies.

Now, the scenario doesn’t surprise me that it was in my dream. I have been getting into the survivalist’ mindset for the past few years, so to have it show up in my dreams isn’t bizarre to me. However, this is the first time that I have had it appear in my dreams, despite my research and gathering of supplies for such scenarios. But my biggest qualm with these dreams is that I am amazingly calm with what is happening. While everyone else is panicking, I am just calm and rational, trying to secure what I need.

I understand these are just dreams, but do you think there could be any reason for why I am so calm in them? These are the first dreams I’ve had where I am even remotely calm.

Any insight is appreciated.

Isn’t it true women are wiser than men all around?

I’m saying this as a guy, that the last 80 years of civilization shows a startling fact. Almost every skill needed for survival, for career success, for even many athletic activities, woman’s potential is equal or stronger than that of males.

If not for the male hormone known as testosterone, women would challenge men in everything, including football and basketball and wrestling.

As for survival skills in times of emergency electric outages, women win because they approach the situations differently. They coordinate and network better with others so that some of the skills a man uses to survive harsh conditions does not even have to come into play for women. The approach is different but works just as effectively.

As far as managing companies, managing the government, being responsible for ANYTHING, a pet, a child, an errand, women are by nature more responsible and reliable.

Am I right? I have to give credit to the women.

The only reason men have dominated women in history is that women made the choice to play by man’s rules and be submissive partly because the one flaw in a woman is she gets a pleasure out of looking up to the man she’s with. So woman always caved in.
I don;t like Sarah Palin either. But there are exception in both genders of course.

As for the PMSing thing, men also have distractors such as golf, flirting, playing Rock Band video games.
The woman who is commander in chief doesn’t need strong bicepts muscles or agility to order a military operation.

Will the US Face a $53 Trillion Financial Asteroid?

If a giant asteroid was headed toward Earth right now and experts say it has a good chance of ending civilization as we know it., and let’s also say that we’ve known about this asteroid for years but even as it gets closer and closer our leaders do nothing.
“Don’t worry,” they tell us, “The next administration will figure something out.”
With the future of our country at stake, would Americans really sit back and tolerate that kind of inaction? Of course not — we’d be sharpening our pitchforks and demanding answers. Well there may not be a space asteroid heading toward us, but there is an economic one — and the threat to our future is just as severe. You might think that I’m talking about the recession (sorry: potential recession) or credit crisis, but I’m thinking bigger. Much, much bigger. Let me give you three numbers that will put this economic asteroid into perspective: $200 billion, $14.1 trillion, and $53 trillion.
• $200 billion is the approximate total amount of write-downs announced so far as a result of the current credit crisis.
• $14.1 trillion is the size of the entire U.S. economy
• And $53 trillion is (drum roll please) the approximate size of this country’s bill for the Social Security and Medicare promises we’ve made.
Doesn’t it seem that the third number is quite a bit larger than the other two. It also seems very few people care. According to the latest Social Security and Medicare Trustees report (and I use that term loosely since it has the word “trust” in it) released earlier this week, the economic asteroid will first make impact in the year 2019 when the Medicaid trust fund becomes insolvent. Only an immediate 122 percent increase in Medicare taxes and a 26 percent increase in Social Security taxes can prevent (or more likely, delay) its impact. What will you do?

Will we die on December 23, 2012?

This is the date that the Maya predicted civilization will end, and apparently they were accurate on lots of other predictions. PLEASE NO SARCASM OR NONSENSICAL ANSWERS.
Is anyone an expert on the Maya?
Some sources say December 21st, some say the 23rd.

how long to WW3? (Especially with Bush in charge of the White House)?

I came across a news article the other day showing how scientists have a clock that’s all about how far we are from the end of civilization as we know it. (Did anyone else see that in the news? Anyone got a link? I think it was advanced to two minutes to midnight or something like that.) Whether it be climate change (and the human effects thereof – never mind the human causes), or asteroid impact or Nuclear Armageddon – or even some killer avian flu.
Here we are now with Bush ‘sending messages’ to Iran because he refuses to have diplomatic relations with them. Sure, the middle east is a powder keg just waiting to ignite, but at this rate the U.S. (under Bush’s white house) are gonna wind up being the ones to light the fuse.
