I have a vending maching in the break room at work. All my co-workers LOVE my baking, and frequently request certain famous treats of mine. I decided to just add them into the vending machine, but I want to SAFELY prolong the shelf life. Besides wraping them really good, any suggestions??

My job consists of working at a Mexican fast food restaurant. Whilst talking amongst co-workers about artistic oddities, I got this crazy idea in my head.
I want to make a hard taco shell into a Christmas ornament.
I know what “ingredients” (artistic supplies) that I want to use for certain things.
However, my question is this…

What would I put FIRSTLY on said taco shell, to preserve it and make it a bit stronger?

-I thought about, lacquers of all sorts, some sort of clear coat or gloss. I’m not for positive though. I want something, that’s not to terribly messy.
I’d appreciate ideas, input, suggestions,…etc.
