A question about martial arts for no rules self defense combat?

Is it true that the biggest, and the strongest, and those with ground and pound, and wrestling power have always been considered the favorites to win and survive being attacked on the street? The people who firmly believe this way pay attention to what’s obvious, even though the smaller, but yet in excellent physical and mental fitness may have the advantage of being the much better fighter and having more advanced fighting skills. People do the unthinkable all the time, as well as defy logic. Although size and brute strength play big contributing factors, there are many other factors that may be more important and play bigger roles in victory and survival in a real kill or be killed fight where anything goes. Are the people who watch a lot of MMA and WWE more likely to think this way. It’s not really the martial art itself you want to learn, it’s about how you train, and the instructor and his experiences and whether he’s fought in real street battles, or sporting competitions. Usually battles end in a matter of seconds, but it doesn’t always work out that way. Dirty fighting, strategy and tactics, and speed play roles in battle. And to say that no female can do well as martial artists is plain ignorance, no matter how logical it may sound. To be able to defy the odds in Vegas that are against you in a self defense kill or be killed situation, you have to be not only exceptionally fit physically, but also mentally fit as well. The first to make a mistake, get psyched out, or intimidated is going to lose, and will enable the enemy to use his advantages against his victims.
What I said may sound crazy, but for some people and some situations it’s true.

In a zombie apocalypse scenario?

You are the leader of a survivors’ camp. When do you think the children should be exposed to the violence with zombies, other camps, and a government trying to purge “impure humans”? This includes combat training, firearm training, and survival skills How are they taught? When are they actually sent out to scavenge for supplies or to defend the camp? Is this taught alongside things that such as reading and science or separate? And finally, what is you’re views on teaching children these things in today’s society?

I will be asking a series of these questions to see how a person’s political views are changed by very abnormal scenarios. Thank you for your time.
Assume the virus is an advanced form of rabies and is transmitted through bites and scratches.
assume that some children may be as young as 3 or 4.

Where can I learn hand to hand combat that would be usefull in the army?

I am joining the army in 2 months and I would like to learn some hand to hand combat before I go to boot camp. For the past 3 months I have been working on my physical condition by doing push ups, sit ups, and running everyday. But I am worried that I will not be ready when it comes down to hand to hand combat. I do not have enough time to join a judo dojo or anything so what would you recommend. I have brought the The Ultimate guide to U.s Army survival skills and techniques and have been going over their hand to hand combat diagrams but I would like to learn more. What should I do continue with the army guide or go online and buy dvds. Any advice would be appreciated and please give me serious answers!
