… Typical food storage can take an incredible amount of space to store that most families don’t have. Other food storage companies will want you to purchase a year’s supply comprising as many as 85 large cases full of awkward and bulky #10 cans. With Wise Company, in no more space than is taken up by a washer and dryer, you can store enough freeze dried meals to feed a family of 6 for a full year. See our other food storage listings to buy different quantities of survival food up to 4,320 servings (which would be a year supply for 4 adults, 3 servings / day)

I want to switch my 7 month puppy from her Iams diet. I’ve found another food that was recommended (Go Natural which is a Canadian company). I thought I’d post the ingredients and just get people’s opinions on whether it sounds like a good idea?!

It seems to me that blame for the oil spill rests squarely on the shoulders of the regulatory system. Every oil company operating in deep water has access to the same technology and must follow the same MMS rules about safety cases and emergency preparedness. If she says BP lied, then that is what every company that operates there does, and the question arises of how the MMS failed to identify the problem.

I think it is naive in the extreme to say that BP is 100% to blame. Every action has a cost, so a manager in any company has to make a case for any action. If the regulatory system says something is ok, it is virtually impossible to make a successful case for additional safeguards. It seems that a major contributory mistake was to use water instead of drilling mud. That was allowed by the regulations – yes indeed! – because if it was not, the Transocean people would have had no difficulty in refusing flatly. The regulatory system must therefore bear some responsibility, and probably the lion’s share because of its huge influence on operations generally.
