A year ago by my bf purchased an 11 month old Weim from a family who didn’t have time for him. He was an outdoor dog, but my bf decided he’d rather have him inside, as did I.

The dog was nuts, but we were told by 18 mo he’d calm down. He didn’t. He chews everything, jumps on everyone, steals food infront of us, barks a LOT, pee’s a little here and there, will not get off the sofa even with people on it, bullies my pug (playfully), beats down the sliding glass door all day even when he doesn’t need out, and has even learned to open the trashcans. He’s a complete and utter nightmare. We can’t really take him anywhere, because nobody wants to be around him.
He’s had training…..very exspensive training, and even though he KNOWS the commands, he refuses to listen.

Despite all this, we love him dearly, so sending him packing is not an option.

Is there an effective method of training for a strong willed dog such as him, and when do we start?!
