What’s the point of living?

There is really no point in doing anything at all, we’re all gonna die anyway.

There’s no point to go to school
- When we die all our knowledge and skills are wasted, someone else have to relearn them.

There’s no point to work
- When we die, our work is forgotten (in almost all cases)

There’s no point to save money
- Obviously we can’t use them when we are dead (there’s no point to spend them either since we can’t take our things with us when we die)

There’s no point to love
- When we die we are separated anyway, sure one will live on and remember the love she/he shared with that person, but probably she/he will move on with someone else. Even if not, when that person dies, the love is forgotten and gone.

There is no point to have kids
- For the same reason as there’s no point to love. Even if having children ensure the survival of the human species, there’s no point since it’s all meaningless anyway, why would we want our species to live on so badly?

There’s no point to travel
- What’s to point to travel and seeing new places and different cultures if you’re just gonna die in the end anyway?

this goes for everything

- There’s no point to play sports
- There’s no point to read books
- There’s no point to watch TV or play video games,
and so on.

Sure, some people say that even if there’s no point to life or anything they do, they live for their friends and family, to have fun, to help the world get better or whatever but that’s just all crap. Life is not fun, most of the time. You’re born, you are forced to learn stuff, you’re forced to work, then you die. THE END. How many people have lived on this planet? and how many do we know about? What about Sharon Jones that died 100 years ago or John Wilson who lived in the 17th century? just the normal people. We all know about Shakespeare, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson etc, but what about those billions of people no one knows about today, that have lived here, just like we do now? What does their lives matter now? Most of us don’t even know the first name of our grandparents grandparents, and that’s just a few generations back – in our FAMILY.

(I’m not suicidal, I just find everything meaningless right now (which is also meaningless:/)).

To the ones who know about fish: a plecostumus, how many days can it survive without food?

My cousin told me it can last more than a week. I left him 4 days without food and it didnt die (I wasnt experimenting, I went away on a trip and couldnt come back on time).
My pleco is alone in it’s tank. There is no other fish. It is interesting how much he has grown since I got him. He’s been more than one year with me, and I got him really small.

Will they ever do a decent Superman movie?

I’m a die hard Superman fan but haven’t even seen Superman returns. There are so many good villians in the Superman world why does he have to fight Lex Luthor all the time?? Why can’t they do the Doomsday Storyline, between Death of Superman, Funeral for a Friend, and Reign of the Superman that would set up three really good movies, plus set up the storyline for an awesome Green Lantern movie. I just wish he would fight someone different for a change.
I agree Eric, the entire Death of Superman storyline would have to use the entire Justice League so we get a feel of how unstoppable Doomsday really is. Then during Reign of the Superman you add the element of Hal Jordan losing his mind after the destruction of Coast City leaping into another storyline where we get to see Hal just spank the rest of the GL Corp on his way to OA and the battle with Sinestro. That would be a really dark one but we understand why. I know us thirty something comic book colectors would love to see these storylines and I know they wouldn’t flop like when these movie guys make up their own stories. Think Parallax might go over if they work the Zero Hour storyline in. Bottom line is we need to see Superman supposedly die, Batman get his back broke in Knightfall, Xavier die in Age of Apocalypse, and Hal Jordan go section 8 in Emerald Dawn. These movies would definately generate some cash as long as they can keep us interested. Human villians don’t cut it.
