What can I do about my parents’ messy house?

I am 28 and my parents are in their early 60′s. They asked for help in cleaning it last week, I went over and spent hours cleaning, only to stop by yesterday and see that it was horrible again.Smelly dishes in the sink, food crumbs all over the kitchen, papers everywhere, and they have a dog who pees constantly and poops occasionally in the house. No one is allowed to discipline the dog, or crate him. The house was like this when I was living home and it never bothered me, but now I can’t stand it. My dad wont clean it, he says thats”womens work” and my mom just isint a fussy housekeeper. They will not accept outside help. I will not call social services as we live in a town where everyone knows everyones business. I used to be very messy myself, but a neatnik college roommate helped me change. I do not have time to spend hours cleaning up after them. They are in good health, they just always have been messy. I cannot stand to be in their house for more than an hour now.
I forgot to mention that when I was in high school, I caught the dog starting to poop on the floor,I yelled NO and grabbed him and put him outside, and my parents grounded me for a weekend for being mean to the dog.

What is a good, inexpensive wine to go with the clam linguine that I’m cooking?

I like to cook, and my husband likes having wine with the meals I make. Which wines get paired up best with which foods? Are you supposed to drink red wines with certain dishes? Please give some examples of some different wines that we can try that are readily found in the supermarket.

Quick foods that I can freeze???

Okay, my husband is what I like to call cooking illiterate. He burns almost everything he cooks, one of the simpliest being jello! He can grill meats, cook eggs and spaghetti on the stove and that’s about it. I’ve heard that you can pre-make/cook foods and then freeze them for a later time but I’ve no idea what types of foods/dishes can be frozen and still be good to heat up/cook for later. Just looking for ideas that are quick, easy, and cheap to make.
