in a few mor days can we conclude that when people think god talks to them its not true…?
Pat Robertson of the 700 club…said that this year god told him that the year 2007 would be a doomsday for millions of americans from terrorist…its the 27 th not and in a few more days can we conclude that Pat Robertson is either a liar or that god doesn’t really talk to people they jus think he does..
Atheists, if there’s no God then what’s the point of morality? What other basis could there be behind it?
If there’s no higher authority who gives us the sense of morality, then where does it come from?
Evolution? It doesn’t really have much to do with surviving skills. It doesn’t make sense, doing the right thing and not kill “the contestant” who is going to fight for the food, makes your changes of survival smaller.
Society: sure our parents tell us what’s right and wrong and the society tells us what’s legal/illegal, but they can’t give us the sense of morality, they just tell the basics. We’re somehow obligated to do the right thing anyway. And I’m not talking about actions, I’m just talking about the feeling. Of course there are bad people in this world like murderers etc. but they used to know what’s wrong but they lost it. Or they still have it but they’re behaving against it.
Just imagine a dog that sees another dog drowning. It starts to howl, it wants to help the dog, regardless of the fact that no one has taught it any lessons of morality. It might not actually do it, because it’s scared etc. but it wants to. Like I said, I’m just talking about the feeling.
Have you ever truly questioned the bible using logic and common sense?

The Bible states that Adam was created on the sixth day. It is derived that approximately four thousand years transpired between Adam and Jesus. This would mean the universe is approximately 6,000 years old.
For those christians who say that carbon dating is not reliable…How do you think they date scripture?
Gen 32:30 states, “…for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” However, John 1:18 states, “No man hath seen God at any time…” Both statements cannot be true.
Matt 4:8: ” Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them.”Unless the world is flat, altitude simply will not help you see all the kingdoms of the earth.
Noah and the great flood. Somehow the animals just showed up to the ark in the Middle East. Never mind that there is not one land animal that can swim further then 50 miles. Then after the flood they all went back to their original habitat. Also, with some magical force the animals did not die due to the lack of food. Especially the carnivorse.
DJmax:Since scriputer is gods breath then you can ussume that it has literal meaning. You cannot nit pick the bible to fit your own beliefs. If you dont take the literal view then what do you have left? Your personal view?

30,000 feet in the air in a plane that is about to crash what do you put your faith?
Regarding your chances of survival. Solely on man or solely on your God of choice? Why? How confident or you in the skills of the pilot and the craftsmanship of the plane? How confident are you in God? Can man disappoint you, can God disappoint you?
I think “choice” should be “choose”
Why would someone blame the 187 victims on God and not the failure of the plane and the pilots. For you shouldn’t having 3 survive be a fluck, with 3 it certainly cannot be the safety standards of the plane.
Regardless of the skills of the best well seasoned pilots and the best plane they can’t get out of all situations.
