The Leader – 16 years old, black hair and eyes, olive skin, Mexican-looking, usually wears rugged clothing (combat boots, cargo pants, army jacket), caring, maternal, quick to make decisions, intuitive, used to having her way, questions herself
The Athletic One – 16 (but a few months older than The Leader), European-looking, fair hair, sea green eyes, skilled fighter, strong (both physically and emotionally), boyfriend of the Leader, sees the big picture, holds everyone together, the “solid ground”
The Techie/Geek – IQ of +200, good with computers and forgery, 17 years old, stereotype geek, Asian-looking, likes argyle sweaters, thick glasses, stutters during conversations but talks quickly and fluently when explaining something/in high pressure situations, never goes anywhere without a gadget, tall and lanky but wiry, has a secret affinity to Beethoven and Shakespeare
The Charmer – Australian-looking, light brown hair, startling gray eyes, stylish, extremely attractive, model figure, charismatic, good liar, a bit whiny, sees the glass half empty when she doesn’t have her way but half full when she does, in-the-know, gets the group into places they can’t normally go, very persuasive, makes a great spy, constantly disciplined by the Leader when she complains, 15 years old
The Survival Guy – 12-ish, African-looking, wiry, hardly talks, simple clothing, has extremely good survival skills, animal instincts, the group’s go-to for finding food and shelter (they’re always on the run), resourceful, very fast and agile, almost as good a fighter as the Athletic One, prefers to communicate with body language, like a son to the Leader
I say “looking” after the race because they’re actually aliens
The names should match their race. Please don’t accuse me of being racist–including five continents for the characters is anti-racist ![]()
@RedStar
I should’ve worded the last part differently. They’re aliens. They chose the races as aliases, so they picked races from all over the globe. I made their personalities BEFORE I made their races, so I picked the ones that suited them, albeit stereotyped. Besides, these are the true, non-offensive stereotypes. I’m Asian, and I’d cry if I got a C. The Australian was based on Demelza, winner of Australia’s Next Top Model. The African was based on the beneficiaries of the 12-hour Famine charity project I wanted to be a part of. If I were truly racist, I would make the Asian gay, the Mexican poor, and the African skinny as death. I’m not that horrible.
