Helicopter scenes?

Besides the Apocalypse Now helicopters scene where Duvall loves the smell of victory, who has the best violent movie scene with helicopters?

Does this scene from Apocalypse Now represent the American mentality when it comes to war?

Remember the scene -in case you watched the movie- where the helicopters were attacking a Vietnamese village and killing almost everyone in it and then a vietnamese girl threw a grenade to a helicopter on the ground and Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore played by Robert Duvall screamed “F**king savages!”. Now the question for this brilliant scene is, who are the savages? The helpless Vietnamese or the troops who are attacking them?

In the draft script if you searched for it, another scene goes like this: Kilgore: F***ing savages, Willard: Who?, Kilgore: The enemy. Who else?

Is Francis Ford Coppola a genius in representing the American mentality concerning the war, where the lack of empathy is overwhelming?
