Computers are great for getting fast and easy information. But in reality, if someone was stranded in some place for a vacation some how like the rain forest. They would FOR SURE die with no smarts for survival. Its almost as if computers are making our natural intelligence lower, and people dont have near as much vocabulary skills as before. Most people use the sames words everyday including me 
I’m looking for a guide that’s mostly like the SAS Survival Guide (Bonus points if it’s all about survival and the author doesn’t put any political bullshit in with it) but doesn’t assume rescue. It should give information on building long term shelter, long term food sources, long term water sources, etc. (“Long term” being the key words here).
Basically, I want a book that will show the basic skills necessary for surviving months in the wilderness with no hope of rescue or other help.
Does not necessarily have to do with the Mayan callenday prediction(which by the way I do not understand), just information in general.
Doing a research project, and so far I only found info about waves 1 and 2. 3 and 4 are very limited in info. Can anyone help? Need things such as dates when they made wave 3 and 4, where they went, how they survived [food, shelter].
