I want to know who were the first people to think of the idea to cook fruit to make jam, and what fruits wee the first jams made of.
My guess that the first jams were made in Europe were there are allot of berries, and they are the easiest to make jam with, and the winters are hard, so there is a great need to preserve food. And in the Middle East the fruits are better for draying.
But those are only guesses. I tried to look at wiki and Google it, but didn’t found anything.
