Will we actually have a need for this seed?

LONGYEARBYEN, Norway (AFP) – Aimed at providing mankind with a Noah’s Ark of food in the event of a global catastrophe, an Arctic “doomsday vault” filled with samples of the world’s most important seeds will be inaugurated here Tuesday.
IS THIS THE WAY THAT WE SHOULD BE PREPAIRING

I need an adventure!?

Alright, I do not dislike my life as-is but I don’t think I’m getting all that I can from it. I have a mundane life, not in a terrible financial situation, not too bad luck, pretty much in-shape, but mundane. I want something exciting. I want a mission, something important I’ve got to do. (Yes, I have thought about the military and do not want suggestions to join. I may just do that). I’m thinking of something like (yes this most likley isnt possible) hacking my way through a jungle to find a lost and forgotten city, or being dropped off at a pacific island to try and survive. (I do have alright survival skills). Things like that. Not voulenteering at a food center in Haiti or something, or little things like driving to burning man (I read that as an “adventure” somewhere). Thanks for your help!

…I’m gonna ask this again and see if I get more answers…

I am 20, no job. I have 15000$.?

I am young, free, and ready to explore this world on my own. I have recently graduated from university and because I haven’t been able to find a job for the last month I feel like saying “fuck it” and enjoying my life.

I have no debt, no kids, no relationships I am tied down to, no place that I call home, and no problems. I have yet to be sapped of my youth from a mundane cubicle corporate job and I have yet to become jaded by the problems of this world.

So I have 15000$ in my pocket, a good friend, and a backpack. I want to pack my laptop, a week’s worth of clothing, some money, and survival equipment and just travel. I am thinking of leaving the USA for an undetermined amount of time to travel the world. We will most likely start from New York and make our way through the continental United States, into Mexico and travel through Central America and South America for 1.5 years. I am fluent in Spanish and French, so the language barrier won’t be an issue except for in Brazil.

Afterward we will most likely backpack Europe, North Africa, and then Southeast Asia over 3 years. In total the round the world trip will take 5 years, but we plan to live in places until we grow bored of them. We are young, fit, ready to party, learn new cultures, and embrace the world before we become too old to enjoy it.

We both have skills with programming and website design so we can make money wherever there is an internet connection. We can survive below our means when traveling so financing the trip isn’t an issue. We calculated that it would cost about 30$ a day in South America, India, Pakistan, and Central America, and North Africa; 50$a day in Europe and South East Asia.

Should we just fuck conforming to the expected social norms, put off a family and getting married, and live out the dream? We have no responsibilities now, so why not wait to gain them?
I do have a passport.

Why do you think kids seem to have more health problems than 20-30 years ago?

Like allergies are just outta control, I’m only 26 but I knew of one person my whole school life that was allergic to anything and that was bees. My son is in kindergarden and out of 21 kids in his class, 3 have allergies. Hell I didn’t even know what gluten was til I was 18!

So many kids have autism, ADD, ADHD and whatever else. With all our advances in medicine and science why do you think this is happening?

I think alot of women are having children who wouldn’t have been able to 30 years ago thanks to invitro and other fertility treatments. Might be enviromental. Maybe we’re all de-evolving from the lack of need for survival skills. Maybe we’ll get stronger again as a species if we revert back to the stone age, survival of the fitest.
