Iwent into a Gordons food market and aquired some items on my companies account. i was asked about it and agreed to pay back the money and nothing would happen. that next day my mother fell ill and I rushed to her side. she did pass but when I returned I was arressted and convicted of the crime. I had totally forgoten about it and now as a chef it is very, very, very hard for me to gain employment what can i do please help me. this has destroyed my life and career.

Are you renting or in a condo or city home with your money in the stock market getting your water from the city your food from the few grocery stores in the area and counting on our government ot save all you have worked for.
Or are you a “hick” or as many on here call us rural inbred or uneducated. we “hicks”(my extended family)live in western Mi on three adjoining farm sections (about 400 acres) we raise beef chickens pigs horses. We hunt fish and have the largest fresh water reserve on the planet (great lakes)we all work but mainly for needs such as cars and sundry items for the home TV’s etc…..But in the end the land can sustain our families.
Why are we “hicks” because our grandparents came through the depression and knew of the inability of the government to be truth full and to do what is right. they counted on themselves and on the family and we still do.
Question is I see many on here throw rocks and name call rural folks and it just makes me smile to know that those will be the first ones to realize that they put their eggs in a basket that will grind them to dust to preserve itself.
Where are your eggs.
Tuna once in awhile we have that problem but we shoot coyotes around here.wink wink
Spur my father in law bought 250 of the acres in 1960 for 300 and acre all our land is ours. well as much as it can be with property taxes and all.
Spur things are not good in detriot grand rapids etc…. but the farmers here are ok.
davec..I don’t know how you live there I feel like I am in prison in a big city it just “feels” wrong surrounded by concrete steel and glass.
The only “life” in the city is people and many of them are not what you would call a friend.

I propose the self-reliance conservatives value and liberals abhor, gives conservatives the natural edge in survival of the job market, as well as social survival. Conservatives know that hard work and perseverance will ensure survival, without depending on an unreliable source of handouts. Liberals favor having things given to them, but when the treasury is bare, they failed to learn the skills needed to self-sustain.
You won’t see too many liberals starting a small business completely on their own, from nothing. When liberals venture into the entrepreneurial world, they either fail, or convert to conservatives. Liberals favor “alternative” lifestyles, blurring the differences between men and women. In general, liberal women are less feminine and their men are less masculine, confounding the natural selection and re-productive process.
I propose if you formed groups of liberals and conservatives, dumped them off on desert islands and returned in 20 years, the conservative group will be breeding and succeeding, while the liberal group will be stagnated and decreasing population.

I was watching FOX News and noticed that there were quite a few Republicans and Conservatives who do not believe that Congress should spend money we do not have (borrowed from China), to extend unemployment insurance. They say the job market is improving and that the standard 26 weeks is enough to determine if there is a market for your skills. With federal and State funded extension, people in some States are able to collect unemployment for up to a full year.
The Republicans on Fox News said that while they felt bad for the unemployed, they felt that in many cases people were holding out and not getting a survival job to make it until the economy improved and the extended coverage actually made the unemployment rate higher because people could afford to be picky. They said that if the person could not find a job in 26 weeks why would they find one in 52 weeks. The Democrats said that there were no jobs to be found and the people should be able to collect unemployment insurance until the job market improved. (That could be years in some communities)
I discussed this with my husband and we agreed that in many cases if the unemployment insurance were cut off for these people they would find a job, but because they could collect for up to a year, most hold out for something that fits their past experiences.
What do you think? Does the ability to collect unemployment insurance for up to a year, encourage laziness and actually increase long term unemployment?
