i have 2 residences about 16 miles away from each other and separated by a large rivers. i am 90% at one location (home, urban) and occasionally at my 2nd spot (suburban).
as a certifiable survivalist, i am wondering about the best combination of weapons (guns only in this question, plenty of ammo) to store at each residence.
i own:
a 12 gauge pump shotgun (5+1)
a .22 rifle (2 mags, 5 rounds each)
a .45 handgun (2 mags, 8 rounds each)
a .22 handgun (3 mags, 10 rounds each)
please take into account that my wife is much smaller than i and prefers to shoot the .22 handgun (shes very good). she CAN shoot the .45 but its a cannon and her accuracy goes considerably down. she is unfamiliar with the .22 rifle and the shotgun is loaded pretty heavy and has a pistol grip so i feel that she wont really be effective with it (although it is a shotgun, it takes alot to be completely non-effective with it) after a few rounds.
i on the other hand am very proficient with all 4 weapons.
its basically that i want 2 here and 2 there, but im open to ideas.
please take into account:
lethality
range of effective fire for each weapon
types of ammo (basically should i split up the .22 ammo supply)
proficiency of the users
ammo capacity
types of locations
