1. Can gold preserve food like salt can?

Let’s say a “Blue” person hates “Pink” people. Supposedly, (according to my understanding of popular psychology and vulgar psychoanalysis) “blue” haters repress undesired truths about themselves and project them onto “pink” victims.
What are these truths?
Or is this a survival skill – a rational fear that the “pink” tribe will take over the “blue” land and consume all their resources?
