Do you have any good stories to show how sarcasm really is, or isn’t a survival skill?
Supposedly, this scientist at UCSF has conducted research that says sarcasm is very important in human social interaction. (http://www.livescience.com/history/080620-hn-sarcasm.html) Hello! Academics! Masters of the obvious!
But further, the author of this article seems to be taking a really huge leap off a very tall building, and suggests that people who are really facile with sarcasm have a significant evolutionary advantage. Who knew? Sarcasm is the way to a girls heart? Instead of trying to be nice, I should just let the verbal spittle fly? Well, they do say that nice guys always finish last! So am I nice? Or sarcastic? Hmmm. Let me count the notches on the bedpost.

a few weeks ago, as part of an answer that i gave, i commented that islamophobia is a good survival skill.
