I don’t know what to do about my boyfriend. He is a little piglet. The bathroom is a total mess. I don’t even feel like showering in there any more. He lets clothes lie around. He has acid reflux and bad breath resulting from it. Yet he does not order his meds in time and eats junk food. Recently he contracted conjunctivitis because he is too lazy to take out his contacts for a week or so. And he keeps them totally unclean, constantly rubs his eyes without washing hands etc. In the end he infected me with the pink eye too. I tried to talk to him, telling him that it is important to watch out for hygiene to preserve his health – but to no avail. he perceives me as nagging whenever I say something. Sometimes he even ” forgets” to brush his teeth in the evening. I would like to stay with him. But I fear for my own health in a surrounding like this and with him having seemingly no sense of cleanliness at all. Am I too much of a neat freak? Should I break up over issues like these?
