I’m wondering what me and my girlfriend would need to know in the event that we had to go into the woods and the cities weren’t safe. I know I would need to know how to hunt and cook/dry meat, find water supplies, make fire, (I already know that) and set up camp. I’m pretty sure there’s more to it than that. what am I missing?

I sure do! Building a hut out in nature and growing my own food (if I knew it) seems a hell of a lot more liberating than spending 40 hours a week for the rest of my life being someone else’s female dog!

Where you need water, food, shelter and you can build your own places by gathering resources and crafting, also with a trade system, but no skills based mmorpg, as in a newb stab you in the back and you are not wearing armor, then you die. if you don’t treat it soon enough, no potions, you would have to treat it with medicine equipment or maybe magic, I don’t care if it have magic or not…
I’ve spent 6 months in the wilderness alone in BC, Canada. It was great! The only problem I encountered was loneliness…I have spent the last 3 years planning to go for good and we are leaving March 1st 2011. There are 6 of us total so far but I’m sure 1 or 2 will back out when the time comes…If your serious about leaving our screwed up society and you don’t want to go alone, please feel free to contact me at sydan66@gmail.com before March 1st, 2011 and I will fill you in on the plan. I have everything covered from laws and regulations, to locations, to hunting and other survival skills. I spent 2 years in the army and have been studying the wilderness for several years. Is there any nation where people are keen on individualism and survival in the wilderness and that sorta thing? I wanna learn survival skill and I don’t wanna have to pay anyone but myself but I also wanna travel
