Give them a little more time. Did you add nesting material? I have had the best luck with a sturdy hardwood nesting box for my finches. I like the wicker type but I am not the one living in it. start with a plain ol wicker nest…supply stuff so they can build it(pet stores)
they will eventually go in there…during mating its more likly…they could just possibly not like it at all though
