I was on a hike collecting insects and found some little crustaceans on the top of the mountain in a very little pond. They fascinated me so much I collected a few of those as well. I was originally going to put them in alcohol and preserve them, but I am wondering if there is any way to keep them alive in captivity? How do I provide food for them? Do they need sunlight? How much water? If I can’t figure out how to care for them, I will probably kill them before they die and rot. Thanks
p.s. Please don’t bother giving me answers about how horrible of a person I am. I am a scientist, and have no problem with this. The only thing that kind of answer will get you is two points, and my annoyance. Thanks

Are fairy shrimp also called sea monkeys?I’ve had those before all you do is put them in a small tank, give them sunlight, and feed them small amount of algaes.
I bought the sea monkey at a store.
